Event Notes:

Yes, it's time for my birthday hike, rain or shine. Dress for the weather conditions. Paved trail, porta potty at the start. Bring water. This hike is dog friendly. Best to keep them leashed because there is a lot of traffic on this trail. You can get fantastic photos on this hike if the weather cooperates. Lets snack at the mid point (Nike missle site).

Trail Notes:

This is a PAVED trail with nice views of the surrounding hill side and on a clear day views of the Golden Gate bridge and Delta in the distance. Dogs are permitted LEASHED on the paved trail. Dog owners must pickup after their dogs. This trail is also a favorite for bicyclists and rollerbladers. This is an in and out type hike, approximately 4 miles each way (8 miles round trip).

Please note that the small parking lot at Inspiration Point typically fills up very quickly, especially in the morning hours. Therefore you are encouraged to arrive early to find street parking. Meet at the beginning of the paved trail, at the west side of the parking lot.

Directions to Trailhead:

From Highway 24, take the CAMINO PABLO/ORINDA exit towards JFK UNIV/ORINDA VILLAGE/RICHMOND. Head north on Camino Pablo for approximately 3 miles. At the intersection where Camino Pablo turns into San Pablo Dam Road, turn LEFT onto Wildcat Canyon Road. Inspiration Point will be on your RIGHT side.

TrailHead Parking Fee: None
