Livorna Rd trailhead to Borges Ranch

City: Alamo
Park: Diablo Foothills Regional Park

Event Notes:

This is a very pleasant hike, mostly through grasslands but also a nice forested section. It's just a bit more than a walk in the park. Borges used to be a working ranch around 1900. It's a nice place to rest and refresh. No services at Livorna. Come prepared. This hike is dog friendly, and they love it. No fees. There are actually 16+ parking spots.

Trail Notes:

We will be doing an ~5 mile hike from the Livorna Rd trailhead to Borges Ranch (the place with the 2 parking lots). About 500' of elevation gain. I can double that gain if any hikers choose to do so. I think not. 99%sun. Covered picnic tables and flush toilets at Borges. Small animals too.

Directions to Trailhead:

From 680S, exit at Livorna Rd and go east (left) 1.5 miles to the trailhead on the left. From 680N, exit at Livorna and go east (right) to the trailhead. Bring picnic goodies. There are only 7 parking spots at the trailhead, so I encourage hikers to CARPOOL.
