This is about a 6 mile hike and for the most part, just gradual inclines (mostly gently rolling hills), although there is a pretty tough 1 mile climb between miles 4 and 5. A hiking permit is required for this trail. In the interest of those hikers who arrive early and/or on time, we will be starting promptly at 8:30. If you aren't sure where the trailhead is, please allow extra time to arrive, park, and register your vehicle. If you do not have a permit, make arrangements before you arrive to share someone's permit or go online to obtain your own. Since I am a fast hiker, I will try and bring flour to mark the trail.
