I am ready for something easier. Here it is. The views are more than nice, They are outstanding. Bring a camera. There is no water on this trail. It is usually cool. 8 miles total and 500 ft of elevation gain. We can snack at the turnaround point. The old missile site. This is a very popular trail. Not advised to hike 4 abreast.

Trail Notes:

This is a PAVED trail with nice views of the surrounding hill side and on a clear day views of the Golden Gate bridge and Delta in the distance. Dogs are permitted LEASHED on the paved trail. Dog owners must pickup after their dogs. This trail is also a favorite for bicyclists and rollerbladers. This is an in and out type hike, approximately 4 miles each way (8 miles round trip).

Please note that the small parking lot at Inspiration Point typically fills up very quickly, especially in the morning hours. Therefore you are encouraged to arrive early to find street parking. Meet at the beginning of the paved trail, at the west side of the parking lot.

Directions to Trailhead:

From Highway 24, take the CAMINO PABLO/ORINDA exit towards JFK UNIV/ORINDA VILLAGE/RICHMOND. Head north on Camino Pablo for approximately 3 miles. At the intersection where Camino Pablo turns into San Pablo Dam Road, turn LEFT onto Wildcat Canyon Road. Inspiration Point will be on your RIGHT side.
