Event Notes:

This is a beautiful hike that all of us can enjoy. I would rate it easy+. It is through rolling hills. I will arrange for both the shorter and longer versions. It is 100% sun. Wouldn't that be nice. Bring your EBMUD hiking permits. We have room for guests if you don't have one.

Trail Notes:

This is a 6 mile out and back hike with beautful views. We can split and extend it if there is any interest. Howard's GPS rules. This hike is very similiar to the Bear Creek hike. Elevation gain is minimal. There is also slightly more sun. There is one potty and no water at the staging area. This hike is dog friendly.

Directions to Trailhead:

From Hwy 24 in Orinda, take the Orinda exit and go 2.2 miles northwest on Camino Pablo to a junction with Bear Creek Rd. From the intersection of Camino Pablo and Bear Creek Rd (light), turn onto Bear Creek Rd. About 1+ miles to the staging area on your left. Drive slow , it's easy to miss. The staging area is about 2-3 miles BEFORE Happy Valley Road. If you pass Happy Valley Road, you've gone too far.

TrailHead Parking Fee: no charge
Other Fees: permit required
