The real purpose of this hike is to harvest oak tree acorns for a reforestation project. No skill or materials needed. Should only take a few minutes. This is a less than moderate hike. Lots of sun, but some shade.

Over 1200 acres of pristine open space and 25 miles of trails are held jointly by the cities of Concord and Walnut Creek.


Directions to Trailhead:

From 680, exit at Ygnacio Valley Rd. and go east about 3.3 miles to Oak Grove Rd. (traffic light). Right about .75 miles to Arbolado Dr. Left about .25 miles to Arbolado Park on the left. Park in the parking lot opposite Sutton Drive. Meet by the bathroom next to the tennis courts.
