We haven't climbed Burma in several years, it will be a coolish June day to do so starting at 8:30am . A choice of a moderate 6 mile/1550' shorter hike or a challenging++ 10 mile/3000' long hike.Route is Wall Point, right to stay on Wall Point, straight/left on Dusty Road, left on Stage Road, right on Burma Road, right to stay on Burma Road. Short hike turns right on Buckeye Trail, right on Stage Road where you can take a break in the shade. Continue on Stage back to left on Dusty Road and straight back on Wall Point the way you came.
The long hike stays on Burma Road crossing North Gate Roadway and straight up the hill. Turn right on Angel Kerley Road, left on Mother's Trail and pass the goldfish pond. Turn left on Burma Road and follow it to Moses Rock Spring for a break. Continue down Burma turning right to continue down the way you came up and cross North Gate. Turn left on Buckeye and follow short route back.
Please note: This group does not stay together on the hike instead relying on arrows put on the ground with flour to mark turns. You are encouraged to stay with others who are hiking your speed and you should also carry the trail route map either downloaded to your phone or in paper form.Contact: Steve Smith
