Trail Notes:

I have not done this particular trail before and wanted to explore a bit of the San Andreas Fault area. If you adventurous join me on this loop hike that follows the earthquake terrain of Olema Valley, then climbs to travel along the heavily forested Inverness Ridge. Steep in places. May be overgrown. Poison Oak is possible.


Directions to Trailhead:

From East Bay: Take 680 N, merge onto Highway 4 west towards Hercules. Merge onto 80 S towards San Francisco, Merge onto 580 West. Cross the San Rafael bridge, merge onto 101 south. In Greenbrae go West on Sir Francis Drake to Olema. Left on Highway 1 for 6.9 miles to the Randall Trailhead near milepost 20.53. Park along the road.

From San Francisco : Take Highway 101N. In Greenbrae go West on Sir Francis Drake to Olema. Left on Highway 1 for 6.9 miles to the Randall Trailhead near milepost 20.53. Park along the road.

CarPool Directions to Civic Executive Center:

From Antioch/Pittsburg, take Hwy 4 West to Hwy 680 South. Take the North Main Street exit in Walnut Creek (exit #47). Bear SOUTHbound on North Main Street (right lane) (or rightt turn if you reach the stop light). You will cross back over the freeway. Get into the far left hand lane. Turn left onto Parkside Drive (stop light), then right turn onto North Civic Drive (2nd stoplight). Pass 7-11 on the right. Next driveway after the stoplight is 201 N Civic Drive. Turn right into parking lot.

From San Ramon/Dublin, take Hwy 680 North towards Walnut Creek. Or from Berkeley/Orinda, take Hwy 24 East towards Walnut Creek. Exit at Ygnacio Valley Road. At bottom of offramp (stoplight) turn right onto Ygnacio Valley Road, follow until you reach Civic Drive. Left at Civic. Drive about a block, turn left into the Civic Executive Center lot (3 story building).
