Trail Notes:
Total distance depends how much of the trail you decide to hike.
One way distance to Saint Mary's College is estimated to be roughly 4 miles, therefore round trip would be approximately 8 miles if you turn around at this point. One way distance to Moraga Commons is approximately 5.5 mile, so round trip distance would be 11 miles. If you hike the full route from our starting point, however, your one way distance of 7.65 miles would yield a total round trip distance of 15.3 miles.
Directions to Trailhead:
From Walnut Creek/Concord, take Hwy 680 South to Hwy 24 West. From San Ramon/Dublin, take Hwy 680 North to Hwy 24 West.
Take the exit toward CENTRAL LAFAYETTE / MORAGA. Turn RIGHT onto DEER HILL RD. Turn RIGHT onto 1ST ST. Turn LEFT onto MT DIABLO BLVD. Turn RIGHT onto 2ND ST. Turn LEFT onto MORAGA BLVD.
From Oakland/Berkeley, take Hwy 24 East thru the Caldecut Tunnel towards Walnut Creek/Concord.
Take the OAK HILL RD exit toward CENTRAL LAFAYETTE.
Turn RIGHT onto OAK HILL RD.
Turn LEFT onto MT DIABLO BLVD.
Turn RIGHT onto 2ND ST.
Turn LEFT onto MORAGA BLVD.
Meet at the corner of Moraga Blvd. and 4th Street by Leigh Creekside Park.
